Kennel name: Samador Portuguese Water Dogs

Bio: I was born and raised in Winnipeg and got my first show dog, a Samoyed, in 1969. Ch, ATCh Fiala Regina was the first of many Samoyeds and Labradors who filled my home. Under the kennel name of Samador, which I registered in 1972, they were all extensively exhibited in Conformation and Obedience with many show champions and obedience titled dogs, including two UDs.
In 1990, I met and fell hopelessly in love with the Portuguese Water Dog and in 1992 Ch Neocles Lord Nelson CD came into our lives. Nelson was one of the first PWDs in Canada to achieve a championship and obedience title and was the first of many PWDs and handful of Lowchens to share our home - all of which achieved conformation and obedience and water trial titles. I still breed PWDs and I love having one very special puppy to show each year.
For more 40 years I have been dedicated to working in my Provincial and National breed clubs and I am proud of being the first PWD breeder/judge in Canada.
My passion for dogs and the conformation ring is boundless and the opportunity to judge is my great joy
