Bio: As a child I was dog crazy and my poor parents were blessed with a series of rescues at my instigation. I did not become involved in purebred dogs until the mid 1980s, after I finished university studies. In to my home came the Doberman Pinscher. For a number of years, I exhibited in conformation and obedience and bred under the Haefen prefix. In 2003, the Saluki came into my home and into my heart.
My focus has expanded to include judging and I consider myself fortunate to have excellent mentors. I try to visit Europe annually to gain an eye for breeds, which are not often seen in Canada.
